Kathryn Marie Mathis, age 79 of Conway, Arkansas died on Friday, October 22, 2021 with family by her side. She was born in Imo, Arkansas on May 21, 1942 to Oliver G. Crow and Aline Janie Ward Crow.

She was of the Baptist Faith and attended Grace Baptist Church where she spent many hours volunteering. he spent her working years at Flintrock Shirt Factory and working as a mail handler with the United States Postal Service.

Her true calling in life was being a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an amazing seamstress and cook. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

She was an awesome Granny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Time spent with her family was her greatest joy.

Survivors include her husband of 60 plus years, George Allen Mathis of the home; children, Sherry Starkey (David) of Vilonia, Phyllis Avery of Conway, Carla Rains (Keith) of Conway and Amanda Cates (Keith) of Hensley; nine grandchildren; eleven greatgrandchildren and two on the way; brother, Bill Crow (Lois) of Neosho, MO; and many extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Aline Crow; and siblings, Carolyn Godfrey and Doyle Wayne Crow.

Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Liberty Cemetery building near Chimes with Bro. Darrin Gainer and Bro. J.D. Tyson officiating. Visitation was 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall. Burial followed the service at Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Terrance Avery, Zach Cates, Jordon Cates, Josh Rains, Shane Starkey and Trey Starkey.
