Donald Stapleton of Dennard

Donald Earl Stapleton of Dennard, age 67, died December 6, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

The journey of Donald Earl Stapleton began when the world was blessed by his birth to David and Mae Stapleton in Little Rock, Arkansas on January 2nd, 1954.

Nineteen years later on August 17, 1973 in Dennard, Arkansas he married the love of his life, Lavonne Watts and over the next 30 years she blessed him with four amazing children: Donald W. (Shawnie) Stapleton of Dennard, Adam Stapleton of Dennard, Scott (Connie) Stapleton of Dennard, and Jessica (Daniel) Bernard of Conway.

He is remembered by all for his servant’s heart and unconditional love which is further illustrated by his 17 years of service as the Washington Township Constable and several years as the Van Buren County Deputy Coroner. When he was not out helping his neighbors or serving his community he could be found tinkering on odd projects, watching westerns on his favorite couch, or scheming with his grandbabies.

Survivors include his wife; and children; brother, Doug Stapleton of Formosa; sister, Delores (Eddy) Falls of Opello; seven grandsons, two redheaded granddaughters, two great-grandsons, four greatgranddaughters, and numerous nephews, nieces, extended family members, and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his father; David Stapleton; mother, Mae Sowell; stepfather, Doc Coleman; one brother; and two sisters. His memory was laid to rest at 2 pm on December 11, 2021 at Dennard Cemetery
