LaVerne Hendrix of Marshall

Rozeluia LaVerne Hendrix, age 86 of Marshall, Arkansas died on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Gassville Therapy and Living in Gassville, Arkansas. She was born near Ben Hur on December 17, 1935 to Samuel Erastus Rosamond and Mary Isadora Orr Rosamond.

She was a member of the Church of Christ. She loved her church family and she loved her family equally and unconditionally, but most of all she loved the Lord.

Everyone who knew her knew what a sweet lady she was. She enjoyed cooking, quilting and gardening. She especially loved to share with others the things that she made, whether it was candy, quilts or even a meal.

Survivors include her sons, Gerald Hendrix (Joan) of Eastover, NC, Bill Hendrix of Gonzales, LA and Lyndon Hendrix (Katie) of Snowball; daughter, Peggy Hall (Doyle) of Flippin; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family who will mourn her passing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Mary Rosamond; husband, Rudolph Jewell “Rudy” Hendrix who died in 2003; son, Frankie Eugene Hendrix; infant son, R.J. Hendrix; great-granddaughter, Kylie Jo Hendrix; great-grandson, Isaiah Spiva; and siblings, Samuel Scott Rosamond, Laura Fern Rosamond and Thomas M. Rosamond.

Graveside services for her was 12:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Witts Springs Cemetery in Witts Springs, Arkansas with family officiating. Burial followed the service where she was laid to rest beside her husband, Rudy. Family served as pallbearers.
