Aaron Joshua “A.J.” Reid, age 92 of Marshall, Arkansas died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Highland Court. He was born in Odessa, Texas on September 3, 1929 to Roy Edward Reid and Emma Mae Thomas Reid.

He began work in the logging industry at an early age. He went on to work in construction and worked in this field until his retirement at 85. He also enjoyed cattle farming for a short time.

He was a hardworking man who instilled his strong work ethics in his family. He loved his family dearly and his strong presence will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his sons, Aaron Reid and wife Stephanie of Marshall, Timmy Reid and wife Theresa, also of Marshall, Donnie Reid and wife Joan of Alexander; daughter, Beverly Taylor and husband Paul of Alexander; a host of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; sister, Marie Brightman of Odessa, TX; and numerous other family and friends who will also mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Emma Reid; wife, Henrietta Treat Reid who passed away in 2020; grandson, Dustin Reid; and siblings, Virginia Christine Jordan, Roy Robert Reid, James Earl Reid, Edward Reid and Freddy Bob Reid.

Graveside services for him was 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Marshall Memorial Gardens in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. James Horton officiating. Friends and family served as pallbearers.
