Louise Wallis of Marshall

Louise Elizabeth Wallis, age 90 of Marshall, Arkansas died on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Marshall surrounded by her family. She was born in the Red Oak Community of Searcy County, Arkansas on November 9, 1931 to Columbus Newton House and Florence Beatrice Horton House. She married Blake Wallis on June 29th, 1948.

She was a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Landis. She also attended Eastside Missionary Baptist Church when her health allowed.

Survivors include her daughters, Glenda Griffith of Marshall and Katie (David) Grinder of Pindall; sons, Billy (Fonda) Wallis of Vilonia, David (Shawn) Wallis of Marshall and Danny (Janie) Wallis, also of Marshall; grandsons, Gene (Jennifer) Griffith of Marshall, Matthew (Crystal) Griffith of Marshall, Josh (Rachael) Wallis of Marshall, Alex (Caitlyn) Grinder of Harrison and Blake (Kendall) Wallis of Vilonia; granddaughters, Jennifer (Eric) DePriest of Marshall, Casie Wallis of Marshall, Christy (Jason) Honeycutt of Valley Springs, Angie (Robert) Agdeppa of Vilonia, Amy Beth (Sam) Phifer of Vilonia, Caitlin (Jeremy) Carter of Lowell and Wendi (Clayton) Lesley of Marshall; nineteen great-grandchildren; and six greatgreat grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Columbus and Florence House; husband, Blake Wallis who passed away in 2008; daughter, Kathy; sister, Willadean Alford; and great-grandson, Wiley Phifer. Graveside services for her were 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2022 at Cypert Cemetery near Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Shirl Williams officiating. Pallbearers will be Gene Griffith, Matthew Griffith, Alex Grinder, Josh Wallis, Blake Wallis, Wallis Agdeppa, Daniel Griffith and Logan DePriest. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Blake.
