Brian Shipman of Hot Springs

Brian Anthony Shipman, 31, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, died on January 29, 2022. He was born September 9, 1990, in Newport, Arkansas, to Anthony Lynn and Greta Sue (Watts) Shipman.

He was saved on October 3, 2002 at age 12 and baptized on October 10, 2002. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hot Springs, Arkansas.

He graduated from Mountain View High School in 2009, and attended Arkansas Tech University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He used his creative talents as the media specialist for Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed playing disc golf, and playing with his dog, Sandy.

He was an avid gamer and enjoyed game nights with friends and family. He loved all things Marvel and was a huge fan of Spider-Man.

He found joy tending the garden, kayaking on the lake, riding roller coasters at Universal Studios and creating art.

Survivors include his wife, Amy Shipman; parents, Anthony and Greta Shipman; sister, Meredith Wright (Josh); mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jeff and Beth Sheets; sister-in-law, Chloe Sheets; niece, Molly Wright; grandmother, Mae Irene Shipman; aunts and uncles, Judy and Randy Rector, Herbert and Terie Shipman, Leada and Jimmy Horton, Donny and Diann Watts; cousins, Michael and Misti Horton, Tina and Corby Morrison, Bobbie Jean and Masoud Salah, Felicia and Craig Stackpole, Carl and Cindy Rector, Scott and Kameron Rector, Timmy and Marisa Rector, Savannah Shipman, Conner Shipman, Jessica Smith (Todd), Bryant Gosser, Miquela Brown (Donovan); and many other relatives. Visitation was 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2 at Caruth-Hale Life Celebration Center (2529 Airport Road).

A celebration of his life was 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 3 at Caruth-Hale Life Celebration Center (2529 Airport Road) with Bro. John McCallum officiating.

Burial will follow at Fifty-Six Cemetery in Fifty-Six, Arkansas.
