Loy Garrison of Leslie

Loy Doc Charles Garrison, age 76, died October 14, 2022 at his home with his wife Beth (Mitzi) at his side. He lost a long, hard battle with cancer, but he never complained. He was a strong, loving man and a loyal father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.
He was born in Blanchard, Oklahoma to Charley Garrison and Helen Freeny Garrison on July 7 1946, the 4th in a family of 7 children. He went to work at a young age and his good work ethic stayed with him throughout his life.
He joined the Army in October of 1964 and served until October 1970. He served in Germany during the Vietnam War. After returning home he lived in California and worked in the Drywall Industry until 1989 when he and his wife, Mitzi, moved to Arkansas. He loved living in Arkansas, after the fast pace of California and he made many friends and acquaintances working at Ranger Boats, Tuells Service Center, Marshall Vega and The Antique Warehouse in Botkinburg.
He is survived by his wife Beth (Mitzi) of the home; sisters, Lavonne (Harley) Tuell, Leslie; Nancy (Russell) Odum of Illinois; brothers, Lee (Debra) Garrison, Marshall and Tom (Linda) Garrison of Mtn Home; son, Paul (Kim) Garrison, and daughter Ilse (Mike) East all of Plymouth California; stepson, Gene (Laura) Brown of LaVerne, California; stepdaughter, Michele Clifton, of Sacramento, California; grandchildren who were the light of his life; Corey (Yazmine) Cliftonon of Westminster, Colorado; Devon (Autumn) Garrison, Silas and Gage Garrison, Emily and Abigail East, all of Plymouth, California, Aubrey and Balley Brown of Laverne, California, and his “Knothead” Jaime (Tyler) Aldal of Lincoln, California; great grands, Piper, Royce, Riley, Char and Willow; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Laverne James and Lena Henson also by close friends and brother-in laws, John Campbell, Carl Henson and Gene Wiese.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
