Bennie Dexter Baker, 67 of Duff passed away Monday, October 28, 2024, at his home. He was born on May 3rd, 1957, in Harrison to Howard Baker and

LouVena (Stills) Baker. Dexter loved the Buffalo River and spent many years shuttling tourists around. He loved meeting people and never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his life partner, Shelly Friend of the home; children, Angie Baker of Belfonte, Michelle Morris of Western Grove, Shiela Friend of Valley Springs, Sierra Reed of Saint Joe, Cody Friend of Witt Springs, Skylee Baker of the home, Alexis Peeler of Harrison and Devin Peeler of Harrison; one brother, Norman Baker of Rogers and one sister, Brenda Baker of Fayetteville. A heartfelt thanks for all the love and support from the Saint Joe and Gilbert communities during this difficult time. A funeral service was held 2 PM, Monday, November 4th, at the Zion’s Light Baptist Church in Duff with Buck Mays officiating. Funeral services are under the direction of Ozark Mountain Funeral Service of Harrison.
