LINDSEY PARKS

 Lindsey L. Parks of Morrilton passed away on May 1, 2025, at age 89. He was born on the family farm near Marshall, AR on June 3, 1935. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lindsey M. Parks and Ella Griffith Parks, his wife of 54 years, Beverly McDermott Parks, and his son Lindsey Alan Parks. He is survived by his daughter, Leslie K. Parks of Morrilton, his son Brett Parks (Laura) of Nashville, TN, three granddaughters, four grandsons, and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Rudy Parks (Sue) of Marshall, AR and two sisters, Janet Burks (Arvil) of Conway, AR and Ann English of Douglas, AZ, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He attended Arkansas Tech University, Arkansas A&M College, State College of Arkansas, and the University of Arkansas. He worked as a teacher and assistant principal in the Morrilton school system for many years and as the superintendent of schools in Jasper, AR. He retired as the superintendent of schools in Marshall, AR, where his education began. He was a ruling elder in the First Presbyterian Church in Morrilton, a 32° Mason, and a member of the Retired Teachers Association. He had many hobbies, including golf, traveling with his wife, farming, reading, and hanging with the folks at the T.C. Vaughan Senior Activity Center. The funeral service will be June 6, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Morrilton, AR with Pastor Peg Falls-Corbitt officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall. The family asks that memorials be made to the Beverly Parks Memorial Scholarship Fund at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton.
