Alvie Lee Henson age 80 of Marshall died on January 3, 2022, at the Highland Court Health and Rehab Center. He was born in Pindall, AR, on March 9, 1941 to Jim and Ivy Surber Henson.

He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Many weekends were spent camping on the creek or river with his wife and family.

He was a very special husband, father and pappa, and he loved his family dearly. Everyone will always remember his vibrant smile, his sense of humor, and the many stories he shared throughout his lifetime.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Martella Henson; daughters, Patti Willis of Marshall, Mary Donaldson and husband Roger of Borden, Indiana, and Vicki Long and husband Larry of Kansas City, Missouri; sons, Jeff Henson and wife Kim of Heber Springs, AR, Mike Henson and wife Joan of St. Louis, Missouri, Mitch Henson of St. Louis Missouri, and Rick Henson and wife Kandi of Desoto, Missouri; sisters, Betty Ann Tuck of Ft. Smith, AR and Ula May Delk of Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren , and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will mourn his passing .

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Bill Henson.

Visitation was 12:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the First Pentecostal Church on East Main Street of Marshall. Rev. Gary Anderson will officiated. Burial followed the service at the Sanders Cemetery on South Mountain.

Pallbearers were Dustin Hudson, Clinton Cole, Chad Horton, Kenny Cassell, B.W Davis, and Allen Sanders. Honorary pallbearers were Justin Henson and Dennis Paul.
