Anita Head Dailey, age 90 of Conway, Arkansas (formerly of Marshall) died on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Superior Health and Rehab in Conway, Arkansas. She was born in Marshall, Arkansas on January 12, 1933 to Brittman Deward Head “Britt” and Clara Garrison Head.

She loved to sing when younger and continued to love music throughout her life. She worked most of her life in administrative or banking positions, and later owned a motel and restaurant for a short time.

Before retiring she worked as a caregiver for many years, caring for a dear friend with ALS. After retiring she continued caring for her daughter, Jan, who was ill for a number of years.

Survivors include her children, Retha Dailey Reece (Ken) of Fairview, North Carolina and Stanley Dailey (Barbara ) of Conway; grandchildren, Sharli Reece and Melanie Reece Sellers (John), of Fairview, NC, Elizabeth Dailey and Amanda Dailey of Conway, AR; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Sellers Andersen (Dylan) of Sanford, NC, Alexandra Sellers and Emma Sellers of Fairview, NC; nieces, Mary Ellen Head Morrow (Mike) and Susan Rebecca Head Jackson, of Indianapolis, IN area and nephew Nick Jackson also of Indianapolis.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Britt and Clara Head; daughter, Janet M. Dailey Rainey; son-inlaw, James Rainey; brother, Raymond Head; sister-inlaw, Jacquelyn Jackson Head; and all of her aunts and uncles.

Graveside services for her were at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023 at East Lawn Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas with Sis. Kathy Owens officiating. Burial followed the graveside service.
