Newbie no more

Snow angel Today was one of those days to make even tropics lovers love winter. Marshall made the state news by getting the most snow in the state. It was reported at 7.5 inches. We measured 8 but we won’t quibble over half an inch when they gave us the title anyway. All that being said, the snow was deep, pristine white and sparkling, the sky a bright blue, the sun was shining making long tree shadows. What was not to love?

Big Flat Buzz

Good morning and I truly hope y’all are staying warm and healthy. I’ve got a bit of cold or flu going here so I’m trying to avoid people.

St. Joe news

It’s cold. My hens better realize I love them because it is too cold to be out. So, I suck it up and take care of them. Mom always said take them warm water in the morning and they love it. Sure hope so.

Snowball news

Hey Snow and Winter Weather. It was real fun. We loved sledding and breaking ice multiple times a day for the animals. I enjoyed shoveling piles of frozen horse poo and I know Gypsy loved sleeping in the garage. I loved having the drip of my faucet to lure me to sleep each night. But we’ve had enough, we’d like to have our normal Arkansas weather back.

Witts Springs news

We have about 2 inches of snow so far and it is 4:45 p.m. and still snowing. The temperature early this morning was 0, it finally got up to 2 degrees. It is now back down to 0. The weather forecasters missed the temp. They were saying it was going to get up to 9 degrees when I looked at it yesterday. A few more days of very cold weather are forecast. I am ready for spring.

South Mountain/Nubbin Hill news

Jan. 17 Well, here we are again. We still have snow and I would guess you do too. We are making it okay. We still have heat, water, and a few groceries! I think we could survive another week, but hope I don’t have too. We really have made it good. Ray got out yesterday in the truck and today in the side by side. I have just stayed inside. I cannot take the cold. Today it warmed up to 35 degrees, but that is still cold to me! I’m ready for spring time.

Around our town

Hello to all of you Marshall Mountain Wave readers and greetings form the jewel of the Ozarks, Leslie, Arkansas. BRRRRRRRRR! It is very cold officially down into the negative numbers. We got about 8 inches of snow in our yard. So far we have had 3 days of snow this year, so according to the foggy days of August we should expect 6 more days of snow this winter. I am just hoping that they all don’t happen at one time.
