The Extension Get Fit program from the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service can help! • Meet for an hour twice a week! Tuesday and Thursday at Searcy County Senior Center 9:30a.m. • Focuses on increasing strength, flexibility, and balance-Must be 18 years or older to participate • ONLY $20 for the whole year.
Searcy County Retired Teachers will meet Friday December 8th. The meeting will be held in the fellowship hall of the Leslie United Methodist Church. Luncheon will be served by the Methodist Women's group at 11:30am. This will be our Christmas dinner, which includes homemade bread and desserts for $12. All retired Searcy County school employees are invited to attend.
Monday, January 22, 2024, at 6:00 pm Searcy County Fairgrounds Member orientation and sign up assistance. Joining 4H is free! Anyone interested in participating or volunteering in 4H is encouraged to attend, including those who only show in the fair.
Yesterday I went to the Dollar Store. I visited with Ronnie Horton’s wife there. Today is Thursday, Kathy and family came home from Branson, Missouri. They saw some shows up there. I went to the Mountain Wave office. I visited with Leisa Younger there. Bonnie Marker visited me.
We here at the library are looking forward to Christmas. Several folks have brought us some snacks and Christmas goodies.
We had some rain Saturday evening. I don’t know how much since I took in my rain gauge. Sunday morning, we had a good frost. Everything looked white when I got up. The sunshine Sunday was really bright. The yard is still green, but I should not have to mow anymore.

Hello again. This is Sunday afternoon, and it is a beautiful day. It is a little chilly, but the sun is shining brightly. We did get a little rain Friday night and are hoping to get some more soon. It is pretty dry for this time of year.
