Martin Box news

Home, finally after an extended hospital day. Appreciate all the concerned phone calls, texts, visits from everyone. Mostly, I appreciate the prayers for me from you. It certainly makes you appreciate life and people more knowing you care. My children and family were there for me every day checking and calling. Now that I’m home Don has been a great help. My dear friend, Phyllis Hensley came out to the house the night I came home and was so gracious to wash and fix my hair for me. Having to stay in the bed for a week or longer I needed it combed bad. Phyllis is a one-of-a-kind person as my son Steve says. And that she is. Can’t do without Phyllis! Washington Regional in Fayetteville is a great hospital and met lots of great nurses and aides while there. Suppose everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. Heard from our nephew Marc Campbell wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and checking on me. Marc’s a good nephew. After a doctor’s visit to get staples out we drove to Fort Smith to be with Steve and Waylon for the afternoon. Got to play with Waylon. Growing up way too fast. He is such a good boy. When we got there, he didn’t take his eyes off Don, he looked him up and down a couple times trying to figure out if he should smile or what. It was very cute. Finally, he cracked a smile and was ready to play. We spent the night with Steve and went to Kim’s for Thanksgiving. Once again, the food was delicious, and we got to visit with all the family. Spent the night with Kim and headed home early the next morning. Now, getting ready for the Christmas holidays. I was kidding our great granddaughter about getting her, her two front teeth she lost for Christmas. Very seriously she said Nanny would you not get me two front teeth, just get me a Barbie doll. I told her I would.

Helpful Hints

We are entering the season of Christmas; the reason Christ died for me. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Around our town

Hello to all of you Marshall Mountain Wave readers and greetings from the jewel of the Ozarks, Leslie, Arkansas. What glorious Fall weather we have had this past week here in Leslie. We got some rain at the start of the week but the rest of the week was perfect fall weather. Sweater weather as my mother would have called it. That is the time of year where you get to wear your favorite sweaters and layers.
