Hello to all of you Marshall Mountain Wave readers and greetings from the jewel of the Ozarks, Leslie, Arkansas. We have had such beautiful Fall weather this past week with several perfect Autumn days in a row. The rain brought in cooler temperatures and the oh so familiar gray November sky. With the cooler temperatures we have been keeping a small fire in the stove just enough to knock the chill out of the air and warm the house up. We are not the only ones who heat with wood so there is a wonderful smoky smell in the air.
Hello from Zack. Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.
Good morning friends and neighbors. Today is the Sunday before Thanksgiving. It will be a hectic week trying to get everything ready. We still have to process the deer meat Bill got for us. Plus I need to go to town with my folks to get groceries...I have a ton of baking to do, and it all HAS to be done BEFORE or by Wednesday.

Hi everyone. Today is Thursday. It is cloudy and 58 degrees this morning. I went to the Mountain Wave office. I visited with Leisa Younger there. I left and stopped by the Baker drug store and visited with Mike Baker. I wish Courtney a happy birthday. Bonnie Marker visited me. Bonnie Marker and a friend went to Harrison. Bill and Brenda Sellers were going to see a doctor in Rodgers, Arkansas.
On Saturday, November 11 Woodmen Life brought a large American flag to Marshall for Veteran’s Day at the Veterans Memorial Hall located in Marshall! It took around 40 people to properly handle the flag including veterans, residents, and some elected officials. At the veteran’s day ceremony, the guest speaker was Captain James Gearhart, Arkansas Army National Guard. This is one of the most important ceremonies held every year that honors all living veterans of Searcy County.
I am Adoptable! .
The weather has been very nice this week. Moderate during the day and cool to cold at night.
We are coming into Winter after these colorful leaves fall. For those snowy and icy days, we all love (as children) you can spray your car windows with WD-40 and skip scraping. Insect splats on your car grill, spray WD-40 to remove them and respray to help prevent more nasty splats.
