South Mountain/Nubbin Hill News

Well, we’ve got a week of 2025 behind us! Now it looks like we will get some snow. It might be a lot and it might not be, but I went to town and got a few things just in case it snows a lot. The station has said 3-5 inches and now 5 -7 inches. So who knows! Doesn’t hurt to be prepared.

St. Joe News

Snowball News

As I type this we are expecting our first winter storm. There’s always some excitement about snow, no school, snowmen, sledding, but there’s a lot of us that are also farmers and ranchers and snow brings zero excitement. Snow is always fun for a little while, but when you think about the toll that the added work brings to folks caring for livestock, it’s not that fun. The cold snap we’ve just had has been a royal pain. I’ve busted ice for critters every morning and every night. I’ve gotten where I’ve just taken horse water buckets inside the barn to thaw during the day.

Around Our Town

Hello to all of you Marshall Mountain Wave readers and greetings from the very Wintery cold Jewel of the Ozarks, Leslie, Arkansas. The weather has been so very cold this past week down into the teens. There is a Winter storm brewing that is supposed to bring a lot of snow and ice our way. I am hoping that we don’t get too much of either.
