Dear Editor,

Thanks to Roller Coffman Funeral Home, Hiland Court Nursing Home, Flower Gals, The Pallbearers, the Cannan Church, Shirl Williams, Paul and Suzanne Rucker. We would also like to thank the people who took time out to pray for us, visit us, bring food, sent flowers, etc. I hope I didn’t leave anyone out if I did I am very sorry.

Newbie no more

All Is Well So, you may have noticed that I have given myself a medical leave of absence for a while. That is because I have had what was eventually diagnosed as a bone infection in my back (osteomyelitis). I give it a 1-star review, Do Not Recommend. Still yet, as a beautiful but lesser- known Christmas carol goes, “All Is Well”. I am starting antibiotic treatment, both oral and IV this week, after having this since August. So I’m thankful for finally some good medical care. I have had extraordinarily good care in Marshall (shout out to Boston Mountain, Dr. Blair, and Robin), it’s when you get to the specialists in the city that things can bog down, and bog down they did.

South Mountain / Nubbin Hill

Good morning to you! I usually write of the night, but I forgot to write last night so I’m up this morning and thought I would try to write a little bit. Hope all of you are doing well and had a good Christmas with your family. We had a wonderful time with ours. We had ours a little early, on the 21st so most could be here. We missed Jimmy and Aneilya, and Aaron’s girlfriend Avery, but we got everyone else worked in. Aaron had to leave on Sunday the 23rd to get on his way to the Liberty Bowl at Memphis. He is there having a big time! He has a practice every day, an outing with the team, and then some free time. They are staying in the Peabody and having the time of their lives, I’m sure! I am anxious to see the game on Friday!

Old Town St. Joe news

2024 is a leap year which means 2024 and 2028 will both be leap years. But still there are some exception to ones every four year rules. That’s because it takes Earth approximately 365.242189 days or 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, and 45 seconds, to circle once around the sun according to Time and Date. So this February, 2024, had 29 days.

South Mountain/Nubbin Hill

South Mountain/ Nubbin Hill news By Betty Barnes Well, here we are again. Ray said… you better go write the news…. I’ll not tell you what I said or thought. I had forgotten again. I probably wouldn’t write if it weren’t’ for Ray. He keeps me on track.

Ask the Professionals

My daughter has done very well for herself, but my son is struggling. I would like to leave all my property to my son. But I’m proud of my daughter too, and I don’t want to disinherit her. What should I do?
