Each month a different sponsor from the community recognizes two students from each grade level for possessing the traits of what it means to be a Beaming Bobcat. This month, Save the Children sponsored our students. Betty Lou Eaton Loggins, age 80, of Marshall, Arkansas went to be with her lord and savior on December 3, 2024 at her home surrounded by her beloved family. She was born in Marshall, Arkansas on August 13th, 1944 to Roy Harrison Eaton and Ruby Faye Treadwell Eaton.
Hello out there! Hope you are doing well; Ray and I are doing okay. I am recouping from a âsleep studyâ I had last night. Laugh all you want I did look like the bionic woman! It was awful, but I made it and now just wait and see what they found out. I was ready to get up at 5 am and get rid of the wires that were tangled around me! Glad thatâs over and so glad to be home.

Until now, we have no President in a time of distress. It looks like WWIII is near by since Biden okayed for U.S. made weapons to be used against Russia, but we have China, South Korea, Iran, and others to contend with. A President out of his mind and VP on vacation.
Welcome to December! We have been getting a dose of winter weather lately with these much colder temperatures. As much as I was tired of hot summer weather, I’m not sure I’m ready for real cold quite yet.
Luella Mae Canarsky, 96, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side on December 4, 2024. She was born on February 5, 1928, in Bancroft Nebraska. Condolences may be left at www.DiamondStateCremation.com
Grandparents play important roles in millions of families. Though grandmothers and grandfathers may always be ready to give a warm hug and provide a treat to their grandchildren, their role in modern families also includes helping with child care and other responsibilities.
James Fenton Hall, 78, of Annapolis, Maryland, passed away on November 22, 2024. He was born in Little Rock on January 25, 1946, son of Dorothy (Reeves) Hall and Eules Lester âLeckâ Hall. He grew up in Marshall, where he was the 1963 valedictorian of Marshall High School. During high school, an essay of his was published in the Marshall Mountain Wave, and came to the attention of Harvard University. This began a career in which Jim earned a bachelorâs in math from Harvard and a PhD from Rice University. After teaching several years at the US Naval Academy he became a physicist at the National Security Agency, involved in national defense projects. After retiring, he continued to pass on his love of math as a community college professor. He volunteered countless hours to run math competitions for middle and high school students. Jim loved sailing, running, using his telescope, playing the flute, and listening to classical and folk music. A lifelong seeker of religious truth and meaning, he attended the Annapolis Friends Meeting (the Quakers). He leaves behind his children Nancy Hall of Long Beach, California; Linda Starr of Billings, Montana; and Michael Hall of Los Angeles, California; grandchildren Carmel, Oren and David Artstein; Kolton and Elenora Starr; Maren, Kira and Serisa Hall; brother Bob Hall of Houston, Texas, brother in law Kenny Campbell of Snowball, nephew Rob Campbell of Witts Springs, and his partner of 15 years Mary Dadone. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Melanie Campbell and nephew Colin Campbell. A memorial service will be held January 25 in Annapolis.
