December 13, 2023 Hello to each of you! Sure is a busy time of the year isn’t it?? Oh, but it’s good. I told you I had my tree up last week, and now I have some lights around the front porch, and Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus on the lower side of the driveway. We were sure tired after getting that all put up. Doesn’t seem like much, but it is for us. Then Ray said, “We’re only half through you know.” Meaning the other half is when we have to take it down! Well, it may stay until March if it doesn’t warm up some!

Dear Editor, I was throwing snowballs to the Christmas parade crowd and felt my wedding ring fly off of my finger. The shock and horror of what had just happened took a minute to register as I completely stopped my vehicle (effectively stopping the parade!). A couple of kind by-standers approached my vehicle to find out what was wrong. I figured my ring was gone, and I knew I couldn't start searching for it, but the gentleman discovered it on the ground and returned it to me. I am SO VERY VERY GRATEFUL to them. I didn't even get a good enough look at them to know whether or not I know them, so I am asking the newspaper to post this 'Thank You' in hopes that they will see it!

Dear Editor, We would like to say a big thank you! The Searcy County Humane Shelter would like to thank the following for their help in spreading the base for the new outside Dog runs at the shelter. Brock Horton of Horton Hauling for donating 24 Tons of gravel.

Dear Editor: Thank you for all your prayers, calls, food, gifts, and visits with our family during the loss of our sweet “Randy”. Things will never be the same for us. Our hearts are broken but we know he is in a better place and one day we will see him again.
