Well, it’s that time again. Hope you are well. As for us, we are kind of draggy today. Jason, Randall and Ann and myself all got our flu and Covid shots yesterday, so we feel today like we have a touch of the flu, even had some temperature, but I’m sure we will be okay in a day or two.

Welcome Home and Bear Creek news

Hi everyone. I called and talked to Kathy tonight. It rained three inches at their house on Friday night. The creek got up. The water went over the bridge. A tree got hung up under the bridge. We will be glad when the tree go away, today is Monday. I went to the Mountain Wave office. I visited with Leisa Younger and Charity Rolen there. I visited with that lady on the sidewalk. I forgot her first name. Her last name might be Blair or Barnes. It was so good to see you at town. We had a good visit. We worked at the shirt factory a long time ago. I saw some geese flying in the sky. They were pretty.

Good evening everyone on this lovely Sunday evening. I was so excited to see the snow fall on Friday of this week! I guess that was the kid in me, I always loved to watch it snow and as a child I couldn’t wait to get outside and play in the snow. Well, now I just watch through the window. JC had dinner with us recently. He came by thinking Marsha was here, but she had returned to Bentonville, so since Ed had supper ready, he stayed to eat. Ed had fixed deer meat and it was really good.

South Mountain/Nubbin Hill news

Hello to each of you. I hope this finds you doing well. Ray and I are doing fine. We sure enjoyed the rain this weekend. Counting what we got last Monday night and this weekend, we have gotten about 3 and 1/2 inches all together. We are very thankful for the rain; it was really needed.

Lost Valley The fall foliage brought us out, like so many from far and wide, leaf peepers, they would call us in the Appalachians. There are many beautiful places in Searcy County, but the Ponca area is an old stomping ground for us, so cameras in hand, we set out.
