Riches You know, when you get some mileage on you, you have stories because you’ve seen some stuff. I got to see the unrest of the 60’s, the (in retrospect) little ups and downs of the economy every decade or so, the empty skies of 9/11, the empty stores of 2008, and, of course, lockdown from a terrible new virus.

Church Homecomings I have gotten to go to a good many church homecomings, and each has a different personality. One of the most memorable was at a little church way out in the country, no air conditioning. There was dinner on the grounds and people drifted in and out of the church all afternoon, singing specials, visiting the loaded tables in the churchyard for a second or third trip, then coming back in to sing or deliver a testimony. Many of the headstones in the adjacent cemetery were local stone, with the chiseled names worn off by time. The hearing aids may become available on that basis as early as October of this year.
