Hello to all of you Marshall Mountain Wave readers and greetings from the jewel of the Ozark, Leslie, Arkansas. Wow! What a week of weather we have just had. The week started out warm and beautiful, then the weather shifted, and we had a tornado in the area bad enough for folks to get in their storm shelters. The tornado came with hail and a lot of ran. The rain came down so hard and fast it overwhelmed the ditches and drainage. There was so much water, I am reminded how much my front yard is really part of the creek system, and it was flowing fast at that.
Part two: The following comments are excerpts from a newspaper clipping written by Will Rice of St. Joe. Nobe Henley, a nephew to Bill Henley, gave the clipping to Mrs. Alva Hensley. (Uncle Bill Henley married Sarah Etta Goodman who is a sister to Grandpa, Dr. Philip Sheridan Goodman. Dr. Philip Sheridan Goodman married Uncle Bill Henley’s sister, Thela Jane Henley.)
Don’t tell me it’s already time to turn the clocks forward. If we could just make up our minds and stick with one or the other! There ought to be a law.
Letter of Thanks We would like to thank each and every one for all your prayers, monetary donations, donations for the auction, those who bought, and those who worked so hard putting it all together. There are too many people to even try to name them each one.
It has been very hazardous outside with the ice coating on everything. I was going out to feed the horses and mule and had to be extremely careful to keep from slipping and falling.
We dodged another icy bullet this past week. Thank goodness, as much as I enjoy camping, it’s much more fun when you’re out of your house.
Having a pup is a lot like having a kid around. This pup has been to the doctor more than I have.
My aunt went into a nursing home when she got out of the hospital. She signed the nursing home contract, but she didn’t understand most of it.
Trish wasn’t the worst cat we ever had because we had previously had Chester and he holds that post. We knew her time was coming and she was an old cat. Danny’s response was, “give her everything she wants”.
