Hope that everyone had a good week. We went to Russellville and on our way home at Witts Springs a dee jumped out and we hit him. It did some damage to the front of the car. I will have to get it fixed. Larry has been working on my car the last two days. Larry mowed the yards. Our garden is still going. We have some tomatoes and okra. I have my freezer full. We have to pick our apples and pears soon. Larry has misplaced his apple picker. I had Melissa order a new one.
Walmart has just about anything you can get their store. With our purchases made and leaving out the door. Finally got Don to slow down was greeted with a big hug from Cousin Rita Blair. Hadn’t seen Rita in several years, use to visit every week but things happen. Was so good to see her. Enjoyed getting to see her and get my hug. Hopefully won’t be a long time in the future.

Hello to all of you Marshall Mountain Wave readers and greetings from the Jewel of the Ozarks, Leslie, Arkansas. The week started out very hot indeed this past week with a heat index topping off at 106 degrees but the later part of the week it has been very cool as low as 58 degrees. Which I am not complaining about one bit, the heat was getting to me. Although it seems like a fluke that the weather is nice and it will heat up next week but in the meantime I am pulling out my warm clothes and hope for an early Fall this year.
Hot weather is officially here. June 21,2024 is the longest day of the year.
Hello to all of you Marshall Mountain Wave readers and greetings from the Jewel of the Ozarks, Leslie, Arkansas. Oh the heat this past week has been oppressive. It has been so hot out that it just took your breath away when you stepped outside. Then we got some blessed rain and that cooled things off for just a while giving us a break from the heatwave. Summer is upon us and it looks like it is going to be very hot and a very long summer, so drink plenty of water and stay indoors from the hours of 10 a.m. and October.
Dear Editor: The family of Janice McDaniel would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all who have supported us during our difficult loss. Words can never express the gratitude and thankfulness we have felt. It would be impossible to list all the acts of kindness shown to us over the last few weeks. For the countless amounts of food that was provided for our family and to the many friends who helped keep the food prepared and the kitchen clean, thank you. For the beautiful plants, flowers, and gifts that were sent in remembrance of our sweet loved one, thank you. To the multitude of friends and family members who helped at the cemetery to dig the grave, even providing the equipment, and taking care of the grave after the service, thank you. To Brother Shane Horton, who delivered a peaceful service filled with love and support, thank you. To the large crowd of family and friends that attended the service and to the pallbearers who assisted, thank you. Numerous calls, texts, & visits were received to show concern, support and encouragement, thank you for each one. We are especially thankful for all the prayers for comfort and support that we have felt. Each act of kindness was thoughtful and meaningful to us. We are truly blessed with a community that has poured out their love to our family in so many different ways.
