July 2nd: Hello there, hope you are doing well. We are doing fine here on the creek. We have survived the 100 plus temperatures so maybe we will make it! It is beginning to cool off a little and also beginning to have a few showers now and then. We have had a few showers and every little bit helps. Maybe this week we will get more rain.

Hello to all of you Marshall Mountain Wave readers and greetings from the jewel of the Ozarks, Leslie, Arkansas. We have had quite a bit of rain this time of year. I am not complaining at all my garden and the gardens of Leslie look fantastic. The first astronomical day of summer for the northern hemisphere was on Wednesday at 9:47 am. So that marks when there is more direct sunlight on globe where Leslie is, and you can tell. It has been much hotter and more humid here since Wednesday.

June 25, 2023: Hello once again, hope you are having a good day. We are fine here. We just had a hailstorm. Some hail was the size of a tennis ball, most was the size of a golf ball. I hadn’t been in a hailstorm in quite some time! It is very interesting to watch. Leaves and small limbs were being beaten off here, and some of the garden lost some leaves too. Hoping when the sun shines it will straighten up a lot of the plants. Maybe not too much damage was done. Guess we will see each other in a day or two. We did get a little rain which we needed, about an inch. Now the sun is shining, but they are having storms south of us.

Hope that everyone had a good week. We had Jesse, a little boy and the two girls. We did enjoy them. Larry took the girls fishing. They have to learn how to use my fishing polls. But they did have fun. The girls, Tammie and I made sugar cookies. They took the cutters and cut out the cookies. Melissa put the icing on them for me. The cookies turned out to be really good. Little Ezekiel enjoyed the cookies. He is a good baby.

Summer is definitely here. The thermometer on the patio said it was 86 degrees at 2:30 p.m. There are some clouds moving in. We could certainly use some rain. It is getting pretty dry. Several people on the mountain are putting up hay. Hopefully they can get it put up dry. I finally confirmed the name of the little gray bird that keeps trying to build a nest on the patio ceiling fan or the carport wall. It is an Eastern Phoebe. It is a cute little bird. This is the first time it has tried to build it’s nest at the house. It has been coming for several years. There is always plenty to do outside as well as inside. Seems when I am home, I am pretty busy. There seems to be appointments and things that require us to go somewhere at least one or two times a week.

Hello everyone. I hope you all are doing good. I feel so much better today than I did yesterday. I don’t know what the problem was. I thought last night maybe I have Covid, but I tested negative so I guess whatever it was will wear off in a few days. I have kept busy but really didn’t feel good.
