Hi everyone. Last Saturday night, Kathy saw one small black bear on the road. That was at Canaan. Kathy went to eat pizza at town. Today is Monday. Kathy will go to Memphis, Tennessee. She will drive to Jackson, Tennessee. I went to the Marshall Mountain Wave office. I visited with Leisa Younger there. Today is Michael Halsted’s birthday. Happy birthday to you. Today is the last day of Spring.
Alicia Taylor has started walking at the community center to try to strengthen her leg. She said she enjoys it.
I just celebrated my one-year anniversary of being Editor on June 1. Some things about me you may not know. I just graduated college May 7. I have been married to my high school sweetheart going on 17 years. We have two beautiful girls, and we live two houses down from my mother.
Hello to all of you Marshall Mountain Wave readers and greetings from the jewel of the Ozarks, Leslie, Arkansas. Oh, my it has been brutally hot this past week. With actual temperatures in the upper 90s but it felt like it was over 110 degrees, so it has been dangerously hot. We did get just a hint of rain this week with a pop-up thunderstorm, but it did not rain enough to cut the grit in the air, it just added to the humidity. Making the unbearably hot days even more sticky, hot and unbearable. I hope it is going to be cooler this coming week but that remains to be seen.
Hope that everyone had a good week. Monday, we took Tammie to her eye doctor at Memphis TN.

It has been Homecoming week and the weather has lived up to its reputation for Homecoming being the hottest day of the year, boy did it not disappoint for being the hottest day of the year either. Did I mention it was hot this week?
Goodness gracious it is hot weather. When it got Summertime, it really started off right, but it is good weather to put up hay. Randall, Lane and Nikki have been working hard to get ours done. Nikki went home this afternoon, so the boys will finish tomorrow if all goes well.
Don and I were in Dollar General last Tuesday where we met for the first time Miss Drew Ann Horton. She is now a big girl of four years old, that’s Pam and Eddie Cannada’s great granddaughter. She was with her aunt Sebrena who was buying her everything she didn’t need, just wanted. That’s what aunts are for. We really appreciate the gentleman that so graciously paid for our meal. Was very kind and thoughtful of him.
Hi everyone. I went to the Mountain Wave office. I visited with Leisa Younger there. I left and stopped by Baker Drug store. I visited with Angela Tapley there. The Golden State Warriors played Boston Celtics. The score was GSW 104, BC 94. Charles and Audretta Passmore visited Fanny Smith. She is okay.
