Hello to everyone, hope you are doing well. Ray and I are fine. I guess we are ready for more rain this week. Looks like we are going to get it ready or not. I guess it will make the grass and the garden grow.

I hung the jelly feeder the other day and have had at least two pairs of orioles coming to eat. They like the jelly much better than the nectar. They have eaten some from the nectar feeder, but the hummingbirds eat more of it than the orioles. The orioles are more bashful. If they catch you watching them it is not long until they fly away. I have had 15 to 20 hummingbirds trying to eat at the same time. I have had to fill their feeder twice a day.
I saw a monarch flying resolutely north this afternoon. Their migration is truly a miraculous thing from the far north in summer and down to a special spot in the mountains of Mexico for winter where they all congregate from everywhere east of the Rockies into just a few acres. Scientists measure the number of acres they take up to know whether their population is growing or falling and the last I knew they’re down to between 2 and 3 acres for the last few years.
April 24. Well here we are again, another week gone by, and another rain in the making. It is not raining right now, but is supposed to tonight. We sure have enjoyed the sunshine and dry weather the last couple of days.
Hope that everyone had a good week. Monday morning, I went out to do my outside work. I feed the dogs, chickens and pulled some weeds for the chickens. The wind was really blowing but it was warmer late in the day. I did my weeding down at Tammie’s. It looks a lot better now. I also did some in the front of my house.
Good morning. Today is Monday. It is 47 at my house this morning. There was lots of cars and trucks at town. It is court day at town. I visited with one girl and Leisa Younger at the Mountain Wave office. Kathy went to Memphis, Tennessee. She will go to Alabama to work there. Kathy came and visited me. She was in a hurry. She was on her way to Tennessee.
Good morning! Today is April 24, Daddy’s birthday. The sky is overcast and there is supposed to be storms moving in tonight.

Hello again this Wednesday afternoon. It has been a rainy day and is foggy right now. It has just been a good rain with no thundering or lightening. It is still cool but sounds like it is going to get warmer on the weekend.
