Grassy Gap news

Hope that everyone had a safe week. We received a little sleet Monday, but it soon melted. I am going out to the greenhouse and put more dirt on the small plants. Some of my plants are up about three inches or more.

St. Joe news

Joe Reed and I made a trip to Mountain Home for a storm door and 4-wheeler parts. Had a good visit and lots of laughs. First to Wal Mart for a new gas can and carburetor cleaner. Joe did some shopping too. Then we delivered a lawn mower. The lady was so thrilled but a little nervous about it, of course I told her to get on and take off which she did. Then to Home Depot for my doors. The salesman was very lucky I was in a good mood, as he explained one door was to keep bugs out and one was for weather. I try to be nicer when Joe is around, don’t know why because he doesn’t care and would only laugh. A good lunch after a trip to Harbor Freight, my favorite store ever. We had Popeye’s chicken. I’ve learned to really like their chicken and it’s easier and more convenient to get in and out of than KFC.

While I know and am thankful that I made it thru the time ok I just as rather not have to go thru that again. Thank the Lord for bringing me out the other side ok. Prayers for those who are still having it and prayers for this to pass out of our land soon. The October paper of 1893 told that Albert Arnold had returned form he western tour recently. He had been out seeing the sights of the west for a year. Sim Russell of Carrollton came into the St. Joe community with his son and his nephew. Mr. Russell enrolled both boys in
