Grassy Gap news
Hope that everyone had a good week. Larry had to get another fan for our furnace.

A fellow stopped by Genealogy the other day and shared some stories about the history of the by gone days. One thing about the folks that lived a long time ago they liked to tell tall tales and funny stories. The fellow visiting us told a story about a fellow that liked to tell tall tales. The man in the story was a guy the made chimneys for folks houses. One man was considering building a new house asked the man about how good his chimney would draw after he built it. The guy replied “Well, I don’t want to brag, but one house I built the chimney drew so good that when the folks got up the next morning all the furniture was right up next to the hearth.” Now that was a good chimney I guess. I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and got lots of good food to eat. They weather was nice and made it pleasant for visiting.
Hello to each of you, hope this finds you doing well. Looks like we should have pretty nice weather this week. I am thinking I might get around and put out some of my Christmas stuff outside. I rather do it while it is not so cold out. I may even put up my tree inside. Just depends how I get around I guess.
We have been having some nice sweater weather. Most days have been decent temperature wise.
This is hoping everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. Our family certainly enjoyed the day. Got to visit with all the kids and some grandchildren and great grandchildren the following day. Several were sick and we didn’t get to visit them this time. We had Thanksgiving in Fort Smith, this time with Steve. Haven’t ever got to go to Fort Smith and not everyone could attend. Enjoyed what time we had and each other making even more memories.
After the roof completion, there’s not much else that can beat that news. We did get a report from Don Jay letting us know that it did rain in Snowball and the roof did its job! If you’ve not been by, go take a peek. If you’d like to make a donation to the Snowball Civic Club to help with the renovations please mail them to: Snowball Civic Club at 304 Ozark Mountain Lane, Marshall, AR 72650. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
Good Sunday evening. The Thanksgiving Holiday has once again been generous to us. We had dinner at Jeanie and Chad’s along with several other family and friends. All totaled there were about thirty of us gathered around the table to give thanks and devour the delicious meal. Chad’s cousin Morgan Duncan and his family were visiting in Arkansas and were in attendance, as well as Melvin and Mary Mathis, all our kids and grandkids, some of their friends, JC and Ethan. We enjoyed visiting with everyone and of course great granddaughter Dru Ann and grandson Mason kept everyone entertained with games and shenanigans throughout the afternoon.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. A time to be thankful and count your blessings.
Finally got my car back from the shop Thursday evening. It had been a month and a day since it developed issues and had to have a new motor. I told James it may only have been a month but it seemed like six months. So far so good.
