CAM Tribe to Meet

The Cherokee of Arkansas and Missouri (CAM) Tribe, Ozark Branch (District #8) next scheduled meeting will be on August 5, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. The meeting will be at the Arise Church, 1601 E. Main St., Mountain View, AR 72650. Please have your membership card on hand. If you have any questions concerning this meeting, please contact your Rep/Councilman for further inquiries. SC Historical Society to Meet

The Searcy County Historical Society will meet Friday, July 28, at 7:00 pm in Marshall’s First Christian Church. The program will be given by Searcy County Library personnel Tammy Bridwell, library director, and Nancy Hensley, genealogist, about the library’s publications and resources. As more people search for Searcy County history and connections the library plays an increasingly important role. Under the new director, the genealogical section has become more organized and more easily researchable.
