EXTENSION GET FIT IN SEARCY COUNTY!

Are you ready to improve your health? Have you decided it is time to start exercising? The Extension Get Fit program from the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service can help! • Meet for an hour twice a week! Tuesday and Thursday at Searcy County Senior Center 9:30a.m. • 12-week program-Focuses on increasing strength, flexibility, and balance-Must be 18 years or older to participate • ONLY $20 for the whole year.

Retired Teachers to Meet

Searcy County Retired Teachers will meet this Friday, May 12. Meeting will be held in the Leslie United Methodist Church fellowship hall. We will have state representative Steven Walker as our speaker. The topic will be 'Learns Act', he will answer questions and provide information concerning this legislation. Lunch will be provided by the women's group of the Leslie United Methodist Church. $12.00 for the meal, free fellowship, information and excellent service. Every retired employee of Searcy County School is invited to attend.

Women’s Conference

The South Central Walk Worthy Women’s Conference, an inter-denominational event, will be held April 28-29, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Mountain View, Missouri. The conference times are 6:30-9:30 Friday evening and 9:00 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday. The conference host will be Teresa Arthur and we are honored to welcome keynote speakers: Mo Isom Aiken, Bible teacher; Whitney Capps, Bible Teacher; and Sara Forhetz, speaker. Praise and Worship will be lead by weRcalled. Cost for this event is $40 (breakfast and lunch included on Saturday). Those wanting to register and order a t-shirt will need to do so by March 31, 2023, and those not wishing to order a t-shirt may register through April 22 (postmarked or online), April 23-26 (online only), or on-site after April 26.
