Elliott Graduated to Game Warden
Devin Elliott of Marshall recently graduated in the E-1-23 Game Warden Cadet Class of Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. The ceremony was held in Conway, AR on September 8, 2023 at the Antioch Baptist Church. Elliott will be stationed in Madison County Arkansas as Game Warden.
LIHEAP Program Opens for Summer Utilities Help
Most eligible Energy Arkansas customers can apply online for assistance Entergy Arkansas customers who need help paying their summer utility bills can apply now for up to $475 through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The program’s application period runs today through Sept. 30, officials said, or until funds are expended.

Stansbery’s Celebrate 75th
Chuck and Lou Stansbery were married on June 20, 1948, and have enjoyed a wonderful life together since then. They moved to Leslie, Arkansas having retired in the 1980’s and rebuilt a house out in the country on Hwy.

Sweet Bread
1 cup milk ⅓ cup sugar 1 tbl active dry yeast 4 cups flour ½ teaspoon salt ⅓ cup softened butter 2 eggs Heat milk and sugar in a small saucepan until slightly warm to the touch. Remove from heat and stir in yeast. Let stand until yeast bubbles.
