Fill up on healthy eating pointers

Diet and exercise are the key components of maintaining a healthy weight and protecting yourself against chronic disease. Chimes news

This is Sunday afternoon and a beautiful day. We got some rain one night this past week and everything is so pretty and green. It will soon be time to get some garden out. 2024 North Arkansas Ancestor Fair

There will be an Ancestor Fair in 2024. The Searcy County Historical Society is preparing to host the 33rd North Arkansas Ancestor Fair Friday and Saturday, May 31and June 1, 2024 in Marshall, Arkansas. Sometimes described as a place to brag on your ancestors, it is a gathering of family genealogists and historians–and just plain interested folks–to share genealogical and historical information–and old family stories–about families and communities. Historical/ genealogical societies, libraries, family historians and descendant organizations help researchers (or seekers) with information not commonly on the Internet. Visitors from all over the country learn from locals about their forefathers. In 2022 a man from Hawaii met the daughter of his father’s best friend. He was amazed at the number of people who knew his family’s history.

Snowball news

Last week we had a visit from Petit Jean Electric’s fiber division. They were inspecting the house to find the best location to install our new fiber internet service. With that time line, I could have internet in Snowball in just a couple of weeks! While I would like to think I don’t need internet, it will make business at the store easier and will spare me from explaining to multiple guests that ‘internet doesn’t yet exist in Snowball’ anymore.
