The Cherokee of Arkansas and Missouri Tribe (CAMT), Ozark Branch, next scheduled meeting will be on June 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. The meeting will be at the Arise Church, 1601 E. Hello to all of you Marshall Mountain Wave Readers and greetings from the Jewel of the Ozarks, Leslie, Arkansas. We have had such turbulent weather this Spring, and a lot of rain. The temperatures are still very cool in the mornings and warmer into the 80s in the afternoons. Very pleasant for the most part. The creeks and rivers are way up right now. It will be interesting this Summer, when the creek dries up just a little bit, to see what has washed up on the banks of the waterways.

Arkansas Tech University has announced its President’s List and Dean’s List for undergraduate students on its Russellville campus for the spring 2025 semester.
The Searcy County Rotary Club is awarding 7 scholarships this year. Two of these scholarships were awarded on May 23, 2025 at their weekly meeting to Kassidy Clark and Sidney Morrison. The others will be honored at the Rotary Club’s June 6th meeting.
The Searcy County School District Food Pantry received a generous donation from Tyson Foods this week, providing much-needed support to local families facing food insecurity.
I found my first yellow squash bloom this morning, but the nights have been so cool, very little of the rest of my muddy garden is making progress. These on-again, off-again rainy days are certainly growing the grass though! Seems every time the sun does come out, it’s time to mow again. Cozyhome Church has stayed consistent with attendance in the mid to high 20’s - never the same group attending, but God is always there! If you need a church home, check us out.
