Searcy County Whiskey Making

On Friday, September 23, James Johnston will lead a discussion on whiskey making in Searcy County, both legal and illegal. He will tell stories he has heard and read articles, including about Captain Ben Taylor’s killing by moonshiners. He asks that the audience also tell their moonshine stories. This program, more focused on Searcy County whiskey making, is a follow-on to last month’s Shiloh Museum Rachel Whitaker’s program on Ozark moonshiners. We meet at 7:00 p.m. in the First Christian Church in Marshall. Coffee and nibbles will be available.

On Saturday Aaron came down with Strep then on Monday Flu A. I’m not exactly sure how but I scathed by without getting sick. I should have known that something was up right then and there.
