Good morning! It’s a truly beautiful day as of right now. There is a soft breeze gently blowing. The sun is bright and there’s not a cloud in the sky. I am grateful for the beautiful day, but I do wish there was rain in there.

Winding down a lazy Sunday afternoon, will try to get a little news written down. Searcy County enjoyed a little more rain this weekend. The temperature has cooled down some and being outside is very nice. Lots of yards had to be mowed again, the rain has been good for the grass.

By Nancy Hensley I guess everyone is glad for the cooler weather and the bits of rain we have been having. So much nicer than the hot dry weather we had the past weeks.

Hello to all of you Marshall Mountain Wave readers and greetings from the jewel of the Ozarks, Leslie, Arkansas. What really pleasant weather we have had this week, with much cooler temperatures and quite a bit of blessed rain. We even had a few foggy days. The old wife’s tale says that every day of fog in August is going to be a day of snow in the winter. I have counted 5 so far so we shall see if that holds true.

Witts Springs Community Voices meeting will be Thursday, August 25 at 7 p.m. at the community center. Everyone is invited to attend. If you have something you want on the agenda, speak with Doug Weaver or a board member. WSCV is the group that manages the community center. It is available for public use due to donations and funds raised with fundraisers. The PRLF meeting will be included in the Community Voices meeting.

Don’t know about you, but I’ve enjoyed the cooler weather. Only if it would stay that temperature for a while and not get any colder.

I’ve done a crummy job of keeping everyone up todate on cemetery decorations happening this year, but I’m not going to miss the Snowball Decoration! Snowball Decoration will be this coming Sunday, August 28th at 10 AM. Come visit with friends and family! Thanks to my little birdie!

Hello to each of you. Hope you are doing well. Ray and I are doing okay. He has worked me hard this week, but I hung in there. He doesn’t make me work hard very often thank goodness! He usually spoils me so when I have to work it makes it pretty tough.
