Hope that everyone had a good week. We had some new power poles put in this week.
Danny and I had a good, quick little trip to Tyler Bend yesterday, something we don’t take for granted, that a trip to the Buffalo can be a quick, little spur-of-the-moment thing instead of a planned day or days long event. After the heat driving us inside for two months, it was finally a day when the thought of getting outside for fun was just plain exciting. So, we grabbed Leo on a leash and took off to check the water level and do a quick hike.
Black River Area Development Corporation (BRAD) needs applications for their FREE Weatherization Assistance Program serving 14 counties in Arkansas. BRAD Weatherization is an Energy Efficiency Program of the Arkansas Energy Office and the Department of Energy.

OZARK OPPORTUNITIES, INC. has announced that the Summer Non-Emergency & Crisis Energy Assistance Programs will begin Monday, July 25, 2022. The Programs’ goal is to assist low-income households cope with the high costs of electric for cooling their homes in the summer months. This is a one-time assistance payment per program and program year. The programs will run through September 30, 2022, or until funds have been exhausted. See below for contact information.
The Cherokee of Arkansas and Missouri (CAM) Tribe, Ozark Branch (District #8) next scheduled meeting will be on August 6, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. The meeting will be at the Arise Church, 1601 E. Main St., Mountain View, AR 72650. Please plan on attending this very important meeting concerning upcoming changes that will affect our district and tribe as a whole. Please have your membership card on hand. If you have any questions concerning this meeting, please contact your Rep/Councilman for further inquiries. There will be press releases of any tribal activities and other news as come available.
