Welcome Home and Bear Creek

Hi everyone. Today is Monday and Janice Horton’s birthday. Happy birthday to you. Kathy came up and visited me. She is going to see the eye doctor in Clinton. She will get new glasses. I went to the Mountain Wave office. I visited with Leisa Younger and one girl there. Last Tuesday I went to the toe doctor in Harrison.

SCSD furnishing provisions for students

On Tuesday, July 12 the Searcy County School District announced that they will once again be furnishing school supplies for this upcoming school year. The next day on Wednesday, July 13 they announced that they will be providing free breakfast and lunches again this year. Participation through the Provision 2, a program available through the United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Snowball news

Another week has passed with no rain, things are getting crispier and crispier. There do appear to be a few chances in the forecast this week, so fingers crossed and say a little prayer that we get some rain. Our pastures need a good rain, multiple days in a row to come back from their current dry stage.

Grassy Gap news

Hope that everyone had a good week. We did receive some rain. A really light shower for about five minutes or less. I was glad to get it. It is hot today. I am working on a baby quilt. I hope to get it done this week.
