Buffalo National River as I remember it about 80 years ago

Part Four: On June 9, 1935, Mom’s brother, Fiborn, born May 3, 1908, was on his way to visit Mom (Mary Goodman) and Dad (Claude Goodman) across the river. He was a well-built healthy, strong, man, who tried to swim across the river after a big rain. The river was out of its banks, and he did not make it. A couple found his body 75 miles down the Buffalo River near the mouth of White River. Mom and Dad put the fear of God in us about going to the river alone. Martin Box 2

Good evening on this beautiful Sunday evening. The air was cool this morning but by 2 pm the air was much warmer. The spring flowers are busting out so fast, I’ve seen jonquils, hyacinth, forsythia and Johnny jump-ups so far. These weeks are just flying by, it will be April just after this edition of the paper is in the newsstands. I don’t seem to get much done, daylight savings time is supposed to help, but not for me!

THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS

Have American Christians kept the spirit of prophecy? Do we realize Joseph had a dream as a 17 year old boy, that told the future of his life, as he was used to begin centuries of Israel’s future, revealing God’s plan in part. 20% of the Bible is prophecy, most of Revelation and Daniel, tell God’s plan for the latter days, Mt. 24, Jesus revealed more prophecy of the time ahead. Many churches ignore prophecy totally, without realizing what a huge mistake they make, they do not keep the testimony of Jesus, Rv. 19:10.
