A total of 261 students have been named to the Dean’s List at North Arkansas College for the 2021 Fall semester. That number includes 201 students who were named to the Dean’s List for full-time students and 60 students who made the Dean’s List for parttime students.

York College announced the students named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2021 term. 102 students were recognized with this distinction.
The weather keeps switching back and forth, really nice for a few days then winter is back. If you aren’t happy with the weather today, just wait, it will change. There was a good crowd at church this morning. The Sunday School golden text for today was: John 18:9; “That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none”. The choir special was “The Sweetest Song”. Diana and Jim Arnold provide special music with “There Was Jesus”. The scripture for today’s service were Philippians 3:3 -11 and Ecclesiastes 3:11.
Cadet Major Madeline Thompson is a 16-year-old Civil Air Patrol member from Marshall, Arkansas that recently earned her solo wings. She was accepted into the Civil Air Patrol’s National Flight Academy last fall in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Cadets apply for this competitive program through Civil Air Patrol. She was awarded a Civil Air Patrol Solo Scholarship and a scholarship through the local Armstrong Endowment to cover all her costs of attendance.
From July 2020 to July 2021, there were 1,619 reports of newborns born in Arkansas with an illegal substance present in their system. This is a 20% increase from the year before.

While young people sporting the National FFA Organization’s trademark blue corduroy jackets are a familiar sight across Arkansas, they are not typically seen on Capitol Hill. Recently, they were spotted in the halls of Congress as FFA’s national officers visited lawmakers.
