Good Sunday evening to everyone. Like we have discussed the last couple weeks, the Arkansas weather is a roller coaster. True, this week we had temperatures in the 60’s the first part of the week then on Friday a little rain and snow all day on Saturday!
South Mountain/Nubbin Hill news
What a snow! What more can I say! We haven’t had a snow like this in over 20 years. I think I remember one snow that was 10 to 12 inches, about like this one, several years ago. We have at least 9 or 10 inches here now. Ray has been in and our all day long. He said we had some tree damage here on the creek. Branches down everywhere, and our Indian peach tree is split and broken down. We really hate that, we loved to get the peaches and Ray would dry them for his peach pies. If he could get around better, I would suggest building a snow man, but I know he would want me to help, and I rather not get out in the snow and get wet and cold. I used to want to get out in the snow, but not anymore. I hope you all enjoyed the snow, me, I’m waiting on springtime!

What a gorgeous wonderland it is around here just now! Those were the wettest, biggest snowflakes I have ever seen. We had a good many limbs down as a result and the generator kicked on and off, on and off, all afternoon, but the snow is beautiful, the fire in the fireplace is warm, and life is good. The goats don’t think so. They are highly offended by the snow and pretty much refuse to leave their barn, even when I put their feed outside. For that matter, the chickens are alarmed that the world turned white and they won’t leave the coop either.
Welcome Home and Bear Creek news
Hi everyone. Today is Monday. I went to the Mountain Wave office. I visited with Leisa Younger there. I visited with Pam Cannada in town. I called and talked to Craig Kite and LeeAnn Anderson and Sue Grinder and Fanny Smith. Everyone was okay. Let’s all pray for Aunt June Kite. Gary and Kathy went to Harrison. Gary saw the doctor. They stopped some place to eat breakfast. Then they came home. Kathy came to visit me. Happy birthday to Bill Mays.
Washington Update
A November 2021 Gallup poll identified inflation as one of the top five most important issues for Americans. This is no surprise considering the price increases we’re facing for everyday essentials. Each month, our dollars stretch less and too many are forced to make difficult decisions about their budgets.
