Good morning everyone on this cold Winter day, January 6 . Today is Jason’s 96 birthday. He isn’t up yet, and I just hope he gets up feeling pretty good. The kids, Nancy is already here and Ronnie, Thereisa and Lily and Randall and Ann will be coming today to have lunch with us and help him celebrate his birthday.

SC School District spelling bee winners

On Tuesday, December 7 the Searcy County School District announced their district spelling bee winners. Students from grades three through eight competed in this year’s Bee. The winners are Caleb Mainord in First place, James Henry in Second place, and Makayla Gray in Third place. They will go on to compete in the County Spelling Bee on Tuesday, January 11 at the Searcy County Veteran’s Memorial Hall at 1 p.m. Pictured above (left to right) are winners Caleb Mainord, James Henry, and Makayla Gray.

How about this Arkansas weather? Last week the temps were in the high 60’s and today, Sunday, the temps are 19/20 degrees. Some like the cold temps, as for me, I like the tropical temps.
