Hello out there, hope you are ready for November, it’s only a few hours away. Well, by the time you read this it will be here! Lol. Anyway, it is supposed to get cold this week, hope you are ready for that. Last week it was cool, but now it is going to be cold.
Hey everyone. Last night I was going to check on Bo. I saw two doe. The doe was in Pam’s yard. Last Monday I went to the Mountain Wave office. I visited with one girl and Leisa Younger. I stopped and visited with Angela Tapley at the Baker drug store. It is court day at town.
The Searcy County Senior Activity Center is open for inside dining and will be offering curbside until July 9. Hot meals to those over 60 years of age Monday through Friday from 11:30. a.m. until 12 noon and indoor dining is from 12 noon to 12:30 p.m. The center is still providing hot meals for the elderly in Searcy County for a suggested $3 donation. Come by and pick up a meal and enjoy it in your own home. Call the center for more information or to order your meal. 870-448-2999.
The storms predicted for Sunday last didn’t happen, but the wind blew stuff all over the yard so been cleaning that up. The weather was gorgeous Monday.
Fall weather is definitely here. The leaves are changing color and looking beautiful in their fall colors. Some are starting to look bare where they have lost their leaves. It is sweater weather for sure.
On Thursday, October 14 during the Republican committee meeting Searcy County residents Jeff Cotton and John Eaton were sworn in by County Clerk Debbie Loggins as two of the three Searcy County Election Commissioners. The third commissioner was L.C. Ratchford. Monthly Republican meetings are held the second Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Los Aztecas Restaurant. According to Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell, Albuquerque resident Robert David Spackeen, age 34, pled guilty in the Searcy County Circuit Court 5th Division on Thursday, October 21 to twelve (12) different counts stemming from his arrest in Searcy County in August of last year.
