South Mountain/Nubbin Hill news

Hello once again. Hope you all are doing well. Ray and I are doing fine. We saw some “Jack Frost” this week, did you? I think it is beautiful. Three mornings we had lots of frost here on the creek. This week shouldn’t be quite so cold. Warming up 2 or 3 days then cooler with a chance of rain, if they don’t change that.

Around our town

Hello to all of you Marshall Mountain wave readers and greetings from the jewel of the Ozarks, Leslie, Arkansas. What a dark and stormy week we had this past week with a lot of rain and very cool temperatures. We did have a glorious day on Saturday with sunshine and a clear sky. It is supposed to get very cold next week down into the 20s, so Winter is on the way. With the cooler temperatures the trees have started to change their color, and there is some spectacular trees here in town. There is one on the corner of Hazel and Mainstreet that is just stunningly beautiful with the rich yellow and gold tones of the season. Now that the weather has shifted to much colder temperatures the trees will shift color quickly so I would say that this coming week will be the peak for the full Fall colors. It is deer season, and so the hunt is on, I hope the new wild game butcher shop does well this season.
