Hello from Zack, hope you’re having a good week. It looks like Phil the groundhog saw his shadow predicting six more weeks of winter. I sure hope he’s wrong, I’ve got some tulips trying to come up.

Memories and Meals

Most of the time during cooking, you’re not thinking about the memories that you’re making. You are just thinking about food. You’re also probably not thinking about how your food is going to affect others around you. You can never tell how much something is going to affect others, especially something as simple as lunch.

Remote Work

This has been a topic in the news lately, and since it affects my family and also Searcy County, I thought I might throw some thoughts around. The president (and before him, Elon Musk at Twitter- now X) have brought all the federal employees in-house to work rather than working from home. The purpose is, as I understand it, two-fold. Here are 3 recipes that bring about these feelings for myself and my family.

Rambalt hill was filled with semi’s, one on its side and others jackknifed. But when I came home at noon the roads were clear but the back roads were still very bad. I remember in 1975 the forecast was for flurries and we got 18 inches. 10 years later the forecast was for a chance of snow and another 18 inches came the night before school was to begin after Christmas break. We were out a month both times.
