LIS Announces Character Stars

The Leslie Intermediate School announced its Character Stars located at their campus in Leslie. The trait was Empathy, and they were excited to recognize five amazing students who stood out! MES November Beaming Bobcats

Each month a different sponsor from the community recognizes two students from each grade level for possessing the traits of what it means to be a Beaming Bobcat. This month, Save the Children sponsored our students. Rollover Causes Roadway Closing

On Saturday, November 23 at around 10:40 in the morning a one vehicle accident occurred on Highway 65 North of Dennard runaway truck ramp. to the nature of the cargo, a 2010 Kinworth Semi Trailer was being escorted because of the oversized load. The trailer attached to the semi overturned due to being top heavy and the steep decline of the hill, landing in a ditch along the Northbound side of the road. Because of the location of the trailer the roadway was blocked and shut down for 14 hours and around 25 minutes hours while wreckers attempted to cleanup the scene. There were no injuries during this incident and the road condition was dry and clean on a sunny day.
