The Searcy County Historical Society will meet October 24, at 7:00 pm in Marshall’s First Christian Church. Guest speaker James Johnston will speak on “Searcy County to 1840” covering the late 18th century until two years after Searcy County was created. Johnston will also have books covering this period for sale at the meeting.

The Searcy County Senior Center, located at 509 Zack Road in Marshall, is hosting a fun-filled Basket Bingo Fundraiser on Tuesday, October 21st. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and games will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.
The Snowball Civic Club is hard at work preserving the history of the old school grounds in Snowball, and their next big fundraiser promises to bring the community together in a special way. On Saturday, October 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the club will host the “Handmade Harvest in Snowball” under the Snowball Pavilion.

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is proud to announce the expansion of its Pediatric Sensory Gym, part of NARMC’s Therapy Services. This project was designed to enhance therapy services and better support children’s growth and development. The expansion was carefully shaped by the expertise of NARMC’s Therapy Services team, including speech, occupational, and physical therapists, along with therapy assistants and support staff, whose hands-on experience informed the vision for the space. That vision was then brought to life in partnership with NARMC’s Construction Team, resulting in an environment intentionally designed to support therapeutic progress, encourage play, and help children thrive.
Local entrepreneurs and small business owners will soon have the chance to sharpen their financial skills with a free workshop designed to make money management simpler and more effective.
