Searcy County Fair livestock exhibitors are invited to attend an Ice Cream Social and Exhibitors Meeting on Wednesday, September 3, at 7:30 p.m., following livestock check-in.

The Searcy County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome its newest member, Kyojin Thai, which officially opened its doors on Saturday, August 16, 2025. The restaurant occupies the former Marshall Restaurant building at 249 Hwy 65N, Marshall, AR 72650—bringing vibrant Thai and Asian-fusion flavors to the area.

The streets of Leslie were full of energy, laughter, and pedaling feet during this year’s Riding Back to School event on July 29. Children and families gathered at the Leslie Intermediate School parking lot before riding together through a series of fun stations on Elm Street, ending at the Leslie Community Center.

Residents of Searcy County will have the opportunity to receive a free health appraisal during a two-day community event hosted by the Marshall Seventh-day Adventist Health and Community Services.

The Ozark Heritage Arts Center was alive with harmony and hometown pride on the evening of August 2nd, as the Resonance Youth Choir took the stage for their much-anticipated Summer Choir Concert. A packed audience filled the historic venue, celebrating the incredible talents of local youth during this uplifting musical event.

In a strong show of community support, the Buffalo River Community Development Corporation and the Greater Searcy County Chamber of Commerce recently presented a donation check to the Searcy County Rural Help Center in St. Joe.

What starts with one cat can quickly grow into a much larger challenge—especially when living on a rural back road prone to pet dumping. One compassionate resident of Leslie has experienced this firsthand and is now working with the Searcy County Humane Society to humanely manage the growing feline population around her home.
