Jeweldean Sanders, 92, of Russellville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 1, 2025, at the Atkins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 19, 1932, in Marshall to the late Clyde Horton and Nettie Harkins Horton. Jeweldean married Clifford Sanders in 1948 and remained by his side for 64 years until his passing in 2012. She was a homemaker and a member of Lake Hills Church in Russellville. She worked various jobs at restaurants as a cook, and the Senior Citizens Center in Marshall as well as house cleaning for seniors and whatever was called upon to do. She is survived by her two children, Kathy Anderson (Gary) and Tommy Sanders (Kathy) of Russellville, two sisters Barbara Reznicek (Tony), Rita Treadwell, brother Freddie Horton, all of Marshall, three grandchildren, Cindy Jayroe of Russellville, Shalon Sanders and Brandi, both of Maine, seven great-grandchildren, Marcus Larabee, Sabernia Larabee, Emily Sanders, Tristen Bouffard, Rylie Turcotte, all of Maine, MiKayla and Gentry Jayroe, both of Russellville, one great-great-grandson Shepherd Jayroe. She is preceded in death by one sister Modean and three brothers, Wilford, Buster and Lewis Horton and her brother in law Randy Treadwell. Visitation was 10 a.m. Saturday, January 4. Funeral service followed at 11 a.m. at Lake Hill Church in Russellville followed by burial with committal at 3 p.m. at Marshall Memorial Gardens. The services were officiated by Pastor Gary Anderson and Bishop Tony Reynolds.
