ANTHONY TREAT

Anthony David Treat, 74, passed away peacefully at his home in Harriet, Arkansas, on February 27, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. Born on April 6, 1950, Anthony, known fondly as David, dedicated 30 years of service to Hallmark Cards before retiring. A man of deep faith, David worshipped at Wallula Christian Church while residing in Leavenworth and later at Big Flat Assembly of God upon returning to Arkansas. His life was a testament to his faith, especially during his courageous battle with cancer, always maintaining a spirit of giving and positivity. David found joy in making others laugh and was always ready to lend a helping hand. David graduated from Big Flat High School in 1968 and carried a love for bowling and deer hunting throughout his life. He leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity, survived by his wife of 54 years, Dollie Treat; daughter, Crystal Mooney; niece, Edith Bland; granddaughters, Kayla Pryor, Amber Gardner, and Brandy Mooney; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Venitta Treat; brother, Anthony Joseph Treat; sister, Debra Beardshear; and son, Brandon Treat. A celebration of David’s life was held on March 6, with a private graveside service planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Big Flat Assembly of God, 10819 AR 14, Big Flat, Arkansas 72617, supporting missionaries, a cause close to David’s heart.

BEN CHARLES HALL

Ben Charles Hall, 82, of Cozahome, Ark., went home to be with the Lord on Christmas Day 2024 at Cox South in Springfield, Mo., surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Marshall, Ark., on December 29, 1941, to Charlie Blair Hall and Pearl Glee Watts Hall. Ben was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving our country from 1959 until 1963. Ben graduated from Marshall High School. He married the love of his life, Suzi, in 1963 and in 1970 his daughter and only child, Melissa (Missy), was born. He was a strong Christian man and enjoyed going to church and spending time with God’s people. He devoted much time and service to Cozahome Church. He loved his family and time spent with them brought him much joy. Ben always put his trust in God and loved to say “The Lord will take care of it”, and “it is in God’s hands”. Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Lorene Hall of Springfield; sister, Linda Harvey of Little Rock; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will also mourn his passing. Ben is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Pearl Hall; his wife, Jo Lena (Suzi) Jones Hall; brother, Marion Everett Hall; sister, Deborah Jane Phillips; and brother-in-law, Butch Harvey. Graveside memorial services for Ben were 2 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Rock Creek Cemetery in Harriet, Ark., with Bro. Rick Watts officiating.
