My grandfather had dementia. He kept crying that he didn’t want to live anymore. One day, he just gave up and never said another word. He had a living will, but the facility staff kept feeding him by hand anyway. One day, he choked on the food, got pneumonia, and died. Why have a living will, then?

Well, we’ve had more beautiful spring days, and I, for one, cannot get enough of them. I’m sure everyone has been finding some sore muscles from doing a little ‘yard cleaning’ after all the winter weather and strong winds we’ve endured of late.

Well, it sure has been an eventful beginning to 2025! Between the really deep snow that hung on for days and the arctic air that keeps hammering us, I’m beyond ready for spring to happen! The Cozahome Church parking lot was a sheet of ice, so services that Sunday were cancelled and all members encouraged to stay home and safe. I hope you and your loved ones have been safe, well and happy. We’re happy to report that our resident ‘outstanding neighbor’ – Devin Fryar, took his own time and equipment to blade off that big snow and spread salt in an effort to ensure we get to meet together this coming Sunday. Just another example of what makes the Cozahome community one to be emulated!

Well, I hope you enjoyed that big snow we had! We had around 9 inches. Too Deep for me to go measure! I have stayed housed up as they say, for several days! I believe it was from Thursday night until Tuesday, I stayed in the house. Ray and I watched a lot of football during that time!
